Putre – Miracle Hill – Putre
Day 1: Putre/Cerro Milagro/Putre
Departure from the town of Putre, towards the Las Cuevas sector, which presents the oldest evidence of hunter-gatherers in the highlands from 9,500 years ago, in this place a large number of vicuñas and vizcachas are also concentrated. We continue through the Chakus Las Cuevas, which consists of a pirca of volcanic rock slabs that are strategically located on a hillside unnoticed by the animals that come from the adjoining pampa. Its main use was for the capture of vicuñas. Arrival at the plain at a height of 4,850 m.a.s.l. from where we can appreciate the Cerro Milagro (5,100 m.a.s.l.), an impressive set of red mountains, later, we will make a short walk in the surroundings to obtain a natural panoramic view of the volcanoes and mountains. Although, if you wish you can ascend to the colorful summit (extra time / optional). We finish with a relaxing bath in the Jurasi Hot Springs, return to the town of Putre.
