Putre – Surire – Colchane – Iquique
Day 1: Putre/Las Vicuñas National Reserve/Surire Salt Flat/Isluga Volcano National Park/Colchane
Departure from Putre, we headed towards the Las Cuevas area, panoramic view. We continue through the Pampa Ancochalloani, observing the Payachatas Volcanoes, later we go to the Ancuta and Guallatire Towns, where we will be captivated by the active Guallatire Volcano, inserted in the Las Vicuñas National Reserve. Visit to the amazing Salar de Surire, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, where you get a spectacular panoramic view of the environment. We headed to the Termas de Polloquere, ideal for a relaxing bath. We enter the Isluga Volcano National Park, continue through the Aravilla Lagoon, following the picturesque towns of Enquelga and Isluga, which stand out for their architecture. We cross through unique and unforgettable landscapes, ending this circuit in the border town of Colchane (3,800 m.a.s.l.) arrival and accommodation in your lodging.
Day 2: Colchane/Atacama Giant/Huara/Iquique
Leaving from Colchane, we head towards the forest of a characteristic species of Giant Cactus, where we will take a walk. Visit to the Town of Cariquima, highlighting its 17th century church. We continue towards the Quebrada de la Felicidad, an amazing set of red rocks. The route crosses beautiful mountainous landscapes, ravines and canyons. We venture through beautiful panoramic points such as the Chusmiza and Pachica viewpoints, inserted in a warm and welcoming environment, continuing along the slopes of Cerro Unitas, the Giant geoglyph of Atacama unfolds, an impressive pre-Inca vestige. Arrival in Huara, where tranquility is breathed. In the middle of Pampa del Tamarugal we find the old ghost office of Humberstone, which represents the history of saltpeter in the 19th century. We finish in the City of Iquique, arrival and accommodation in your lodging or transfer to the airport.
